hey louis & matt here
btw, in this newsletter, we share new features, bug fixes, work in progress, and what's next.
π big news
we've had an exciting journey over the past few months, we've learned a ton of things from you, and most importantly we've made some long-term relationships with our b2b customers and stakeholders. we're not in a cash crunch anymore, and to give back to our community, we are making screenpipe free (everyone who paid for the app will get an equivalent in cloud credits to use GPT, Claude, or Deepgram models within screenpipe).
another great news, we were featured again on GitHub trending repos, got 100k views on social media, and just hit 10k stars. thank you everyone for your support!
π AI inbox human-in-the-loop actions
for developers: you can now create actions in your AI inbox for users: now pipes may ask your confirmation before performing an action
why is this useful? e.g.
- the LLM generated a reddit post, but you need to confirm it before posting
- a pipe that performs online shopping for you needs your confirmation before making an order
- a pipe that fills out Jira tickets for you will ask confirmation before submitting a new entry
π» clone yourself
last week, we made an experimental feature (not released) that allows you to give access to a ChatGPT like page where users can interact with you based on your screenpipe data. let's say your friends or colleagues can't reach you or you are too busy, but they need to get specific information from you like 'a summary of a recent meeting', or 'how did your weekend go', or 'have you read this book?', or 'what's your email address?'
The AI clone would be accessible only by people you shared access with and will either ask your explicit approval to share information or you can predefine which type of information to release without further confirmation.
we see this as the future, and it's great that such a use case is feasible even today
